Our base of operations is at Flat A 12 in the Maple Building No 5, which is part of the Tata Sherwood complex. We’re located on Basavanagar Main Road in Marathahalli, Bangalore. If you know Bangalore, you know that Marathahalli is famous for its traffic jams, so we try to avoid going out during peak hours if we can help it. Even though the name Cable Wireless Global sounds like a massive international firm, this office is just a regular flat where a few of us work. It’s a nice enough place with a good view of the other buildings in the complex. We handle a lot of communication and networking tasks from here. It’s mostly computers and phones buzzing all day. Being in a residential building means we have to be careful about not making too much noise for the neighbors. We don’t have any big slogans or posters on the walls. It’s more about checking the data and making sure the connections are stable. Bangalore is a tech city, so there are a lot of people doing similar things, but we just focus on our own list of tasks. We like the area because there are plenty of places to grab food nearby. It’s a straightforward job and we keep things pretty casual in the office. It works for us and we’ve been here at Tata Sherwood for a while now.
