Business Development Officer

Our small office is called Panchajanya, and we are situated right to the west of the Higher Primary School in Kunjibettu. If you know the Kadiyali area in Udupi, you have probably passed by us without even realizing it. It is a quiet spot, which is good because we need to focus. Being near a school means we hear the bell ring a few times a day, and it sort of helps us keep track of time. We have been here for quite some time now. The building is simple, nothing fancy about it. Inside, it is just a few of us working on desks that have seen better days. We do a lot of local coordination and paperwork. Udupi is a nice place to work, not as frantic as the big cities. We usually start the day early before it gets too warm. There is a lot of back and forth with people coming in to talk or drop off files. We do not have a big corporate culture here. We just talk like regular people and try to handle what needs to be done. Sometimes we go out for tiffin at the local place nearby. It is a very local way of doing business. We know most of the people on this street. It feels more like being part of a community than just having a job in an office. We keep the fans on high and just keep moving through the pile of work on the table.
