Brilliants Academy

In Bagalagunte, we are located on Lubbay Masjid Street, which is a very lively place to be. You can hear the call to prayer throughout the day, which gives the neighborhood a specific rhythm. Our building is a simple structure, and we are tucked away a bit from the main road noise. The floors are made of that cold grey stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a bunch of mismatched chairs that we’ve collected over the years, and they are spread out across the main room. I spend a lot of time sitting at the front desk, which is actually just an old dining table we repurposed. There’s a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections. We don’t have a fancy computer system, so most of our records are kept in big binders that are starting to get a bit heavy. The street outside is narrow, so people usually arrive on foot or by scooter. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to say hello or ask a quick question about the neighborhood. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we don't try to be anything we aren't. We just focus on the lessons and make sure everyone has a place to sit. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work for everyone who comes by to learn.
