Out on 6th Cross Road in Malleswaram, things are always moving fast. We are right at number 7, nestled into the neighborhood where there’s always someone walking by or a scooter zooming past. Our day is mostly filled with the sound of the machines running and the smell of fresh ink. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes when we have a big batch of orders to get through, but we make it work. Printing isn't always smooth; paper jams happen and sometimes the colors need a bit of tweaking until they look right on the page. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations in the office because we’re usually too busy checking proofs or packing boxes. Being in Bangalore, the traffic can be a headache for deliveries, but we’ve gotten used to the timing of the roads around here. Most of us have worked together for a long time, so we just get on with the tasks without much fuss. It’s a practical sort of job. People come in with all sorts of requests, some small and some that take us all week to finish up. We just take it as it comes. It’s not about being the biggest shop in town, just about keeping the machines humming and getting the boxes out the door to the people waiting for them.
