Down in HSR Layout at number 23, we spend most of our time looking at green circuit boards and those heavy lead-acid batteries. Power cuts are still pretty common in this part of town, so we stay busy enough throughout the year. It is a small workshop we have here. There are colorful wires everywhere and usually a soldering iron is heating up on the wooden bench. We have seen all kinds of burnt-out units brought in over the years. Some are just old and tired from working too hard. We do not really do much else besides fixing these UPS systems and checking if batteries can still hold a charge. It is quiet work for the most part. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with all the spare parts we have taken out of broken machines. We try to keep things organized but it is difficult when three different people bring in broken units all at the same time. HSR is a nice area to work in, though the parking can be a real headache for anyone trying to visit us. We have been at this specific spot for a good bit of time now. Most of the folks who live in this block know exactly where to find us if their power backup starts making that annoying beeping sound in the middle of the night. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the last job is finished for the day. It is honest work and nothing too complicated for us.
