Blossom Herbal Beaty Parlour

Blossom Herbal is a small parlour located at 97, 3rd Cross in Srirampuram. We are very close to the old Hanuman temple, so you can often hear the prayers and see the devotees passing by. My shop is not fancy at all. It’s a simple room with a few cupboards and a chair. I focus mostly on using herbal things because that’s what I know. I often spend my mornings mixing up different pastes and powders from dried leaves and roots. The smell of the herbs fills the whole place, which I find quite nice. Srirampuram is a crowded area with lots of narrow streets and houses packed together. Most of my customers are women from the nearby streets who have been coming to me for years. We usually sit and talk about our kids or the price of vegetables while I work. I don't have any assistants, so I do everything myself—from the cleaning to the actual beauty work. Sometimes the water pressure in the pipes is low, and I have to fill up buckets to keep things running. It’s just how things are in this part of Bangalore. I’ve lived in this neighborhood my whole life, so the parlour feels more like a part of my home than a business. I keep my tools in an old metal box and make sure everything is ready for whoever walks in next through that small front door.
