Bharthi Store

Bharthi Store is located at 76 LBS Marg in Ghatkopar West, right across from the Nanmadhari building. We are right in the middle of Frazer Town, which is always a busy and noisy place to be. This shop has been here for quite some time, and we sell a bit of everything that a household might need. From rice and pulses to soaps and small household items, we try to keep the shelves packed. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so much stuff squeezed into the space. Sometimes you have to move a bag of flour just to get to the lentils behind it. I spend most of my day behind the counter, weighing out grains or counting change. We know most of the neighbors by their first names because they’ve been shopping with us for years. The traffic on LBS Marg is always heavy, so it can be hard for delivery trucks to drop off our supplies, but we make it work. We aren't one of those big modern supermarkets with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s just a regular local store where the floors are a bit worn and the fans hum all day. Sometimes we get the order slightly wrong or the delivery is a day late, but we always try to sort it out with the customers. It’s a busy life, especially during festivals when everyone is rushing to buy supplies.
