Best Popcorn

You can find us at 71, Nehru Main Road, right in the heart of Kammanahalli. Best Popcorn started because we just liked the idea of a simple snack shop. This street is always moving, with bikes and cars zipping past at all hours. We spend a lot of our time standing near the big glass cases, watching the kernels pop. It’s a noisy business, but you stop noticing the sound after the first hour. The shop isn't very large, so things get a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. We don't use fancy packaging or have a big marketing plan. We just put the popcorn in bags and hand them over the counter. The evening is usually our busiest time when people are heading home from work or going out. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing a heater or cleaning out the gears. It’s a lot of routine work, like sweeping up the stray kernels that seem to get everywhere. Kammanahalli has a lot of energy, and being on Nehru Main Road puts us right in the thick of it. We see all kinds of people, from students to families. We just keep the lights on and the poppers going until it’s time to lock up the shutters and head home ourselves. It’s a basic setup, but it works for us and keeps us active.
