We are set up on Begur Main Road in the Patel Layout area. The building is called Patel Govindappa Building, at No. 644/1174. It’s right opposite the Indian Oil petrol bunk, so it’s easy to spot when you’re driving by. The place is usually full of boxes. We deal with a lot of medical supplies at Al-Hayat Medical And Distributor, so there’s a constant stream of deliveries coming and going. The front area is a bit cramped because of all the stock piled up. We have a couple of desks where the paperwork gets done, but mostly it’s about moving crates. The air inside smells a bit like cardboard and plastic packaging. It’s a busy atmosphere and we don't really have time for much else besides checking orders and loading vans. The road outside is always jammed with traffic, especially in the evenings. We have a small crew and we all know the routine pretty well by heart. There’s a tea stall right next to the petrol bunk where we go when we have a spare few minutes. The walls are a bit stained from years of use, and the lighting is just those long tube lights. We aren’t trying to be fancy. We just need to make sure the medicines get to where they need to go. It’s a lot of coordination and simple hard work every single day.
