Our shop is on the first floor of Plot 27, right on Sadar Patrappa Road. If you know Bangalore, you know how crazy SP Road can get on any given afternoon. It’s always crowded with people looking for tools and electronics. We’re right in the middle of all that noise. We sell various kinds of industrial tools. The space is filled with boxes and shelves from floor to ceiling. It can be hard to move around sometimes when we get a big shipment in. We don't have a website with a shopping cart or anything like that. Most people just come in, tell us what they need, and we go find it in the stacks. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting isn't the best, but we keep a lot of stuff someone might need for a workshop. We spend a lot of time counting inventory and talking to regular customers who’ve been coming to us for years. It’s a loud area with all the horns honking outside, but we don't mind it much anymore. We start our day early to get ahead of the crowds. Sometimes we’re just sitting here drinking tea waiting for the next person to walk up the stairs. It’s a traditional way of doing business, face to face. We don't use much fancy technology for ourselves, just a ledger and some basic tools to keep things running. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, so you have to be careful when you’re carrying heavy things.
