We've been at V P 5 in the Peenya Industrial Area 1St Stage for a while now. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know how busy it gets. The 1St Stage is always crowded with trucks and people moving metal around. B S R Profile Tools is basically right in the middle of all that noise. Some days the dust from the road gets into everything, but that is just how it is here. We start early most mornings before the sun gets too hot. Usually, one of us is opening up the shutters while the tea stall nearby is just getting its first customers. The shop itself isn't anything fancy. It has got concrete floors and rows of tools and profiles everywhere. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever comes in through the door. Sometimes a machine breaks down or the power goes out for an hour, which happens more than we would like in this area. We just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It is a lot of hard work and oily hands. People come by asking for specific sizes or shapes, and we go back to find what they need. It is not a quiet job. You hear the grinding and the clanking from the neighboring units all day long. We have gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial area. It feels like home now, even with all the grease and the heavy lifting we do every single day. We don't have many fancy chairs for visitors, but there is always a stool if someone needs to wait.
