We are out here at the 11th Km on Bannerghatta Road in the Arakere area. Anyone who lives in Bangalore knows that this road can be a bit of a nightmare with the traffic and the ongoing construction. B P L Medical Technologies Pvt Ltd is based in a fairly large building compared to some of the smaller shops around us. We have a lot of rooms filled with equipment, boxes, and various parts. It’s a very practical environment. Most of us arrive early to beat the worst of the traffic, and we spend the day looking at technical manuals or testing things out. It’s not a flashy office with bean bags or fancy coffee machines. It’s mostly just desks, tools, and a lot of wires running everywhere. The canteen nearby serves decent food, so that’s where we usually end up for our lunch break. There is a lot of coming and going with technicians and couriers throughout the day. We keep the place organized because we have to, otherwise we’d never find anything we need. The air conditioning is always running because the machines need to stay cool, which makes it a nice escape from the outside heat. It’s a lot of quiet work, focused on small details. Sometimes the rain makes the commute home take twice as long, so we usually check the traffic maps before leaving. It’s a steady job in a busy part of the city.
