B D Bearing Company

Our shop is inside the SKS Complex on Sadar Patrappa Road. It’s 1/1H if you’re looking at the numbers. Benki Nawab Street is always packed, and being near Jana Majid means there is always something happening outside. We spend our days surrounded by boxes and boxes of bearings. Little ones, big ones, all kinds. It’s a small space, so we have to stay organized or we’d never find anything. We’ve been in this complex for a long time. People know us as B D Bearing Company, but mostly they just come in and ask if we have a specific part number. It gets a bit dark in the back of the shop, so we use these old lamps. Sometimes the fans don't quite do the job when it’s hot. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just know bearings. The stairs up to the complex can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We see the same faces every week, mostly mechanics and guys from the nearby factories. We talk about the weather or the traffic while we look through the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at once. But we make it work. It’s just a regular business in a busy part of town. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open up the shutters every morning and see who comes by.
