Axomi Taste Of Assam

Axomi Taste Of Assam is located at 360 Prem Nagar, right near the Janshakti Ground in Koramangala. We wanted to bring the food from our home state to this part of Bangalore. It’s a simple setup, nothing too fancy or modern. We have some traditional bamboo decor here and there to remind us of Assam. The kitchen is small, and we cook things the way our families do back home. It takes a bit of time sometimes because we don’t like to rush the process. Koramangala is full of different kinds of restaurants, but we wanted to offer something that feels like a home-cooked meal. Many of our customers are people from the Northeast who are living in the city and missing their local food. We also get locals who are curious and want to try something different from the usual fare. The space is a bit tucked away, so it's quieter than the main roads. We don't have a big menu; we just focus on a few things we do well. Sometimes we have to wait for specific ingredients to arrive from back home, so a few items might not be available. We just talk to our guests and explain how it is. It's a small family-run operation, and we do most of the work ourselves. We just want to share a bit of our culture through the food we serve at our little spot near the ground. It's not a big business, just our way of staying connected.
