Our place, Avs Ready Mix Concrete Products Pvt Ltd, is located at 27/1 Attibele. If you know where Kailash Auto Body Builders is, we are right near them. It’s a dusty spot, as you might expect given what we deal with. There’s always a bit of a grey film on everything in the office. We spend most of our time outside or in the yard rather than sitting behind a desk. The sun gets pretty hot out here in Attibele during the afternoons. We have a few trucks and the machinery needed for the concrete. It’s loud when everything is running. We started this because we knew the area was growing and there would be a lot of building going on. We aren't a huge multinational company. We're just a local outfit with a few regulars who know us by name. Sometimes things get delayed because of the traffic on the main road or a mechanical issue, but we try to keep things moving. We don't have a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. We keep our records in some old ledgers and on a computer that’s seen better days. It’s a simple operation. We focus on getting the mix right and getting it out the gate. That's about all there is to it. No fancy mission statements here, just a lot of heavy lifting, long days, and making sure the trucks are loaded on time.
