Assoc Professor

Located at K-1 Dgqa Officers Enclave in Bangalore, this is where I handle my work as an Assoc Professor. Living and working in the Karnataka area has its challenges, mostly the traffic which is always a headache, but the enclave is a decent and safe place. It’s a bit tucked away which is nice for when I need some actual peace to read or prepare for my next lectures. I’ve lived in India my whole life and being in Bangalore now feels like home even with the crowds. My day usually starts early with a lot of coffee while I look over my notes. I spend a lot of time looking at research papers and trying to figure out how to explain complex things to my students without confusing them too much. It’s not always a smooth process. Sometimes the lesson plan I spent hours on doesn’t go as expected because a student asks a question I didn't prepare for. That’s just teaching for you. The office is full of books and stacks of paper that I probably should have organized years ago. Being an associate professor means you're always caught between your teaching duties and your own research. It’s a bit of a balancing act that never really ends. People think professors have it easy with the long breaks, but there is always something to grade. I’ve been at this for several years now. It’s not glamorous, but I keep showing up to do the work as I can.
