Ashraf Jan & Sons is located at shop 246 inside the City Market Complex in Cubbonpet. Being in the City Market means we are right in the middle of all the flower action in this city. It is a very loud and crowded place to work every single day of the week. We start our mornings very early, way before most people are even awake, to get the best stock from the farmers. This is a family business, passed down, so we have been in this market for many years. We deal with bulk flowers and also smaller orders for whoever comes through the stalls. There is not much room to move around in the market complex, but we have our little corner at number 246. We spend the day haggling, sorting, and packing flowers into bags and crates for delivery. It’s a very physical job and the floor is usually wet from all the water and crushed stems. We don't have any polished storefront, just a busy market stall that stays active from dawn until dusk. Cubbonpet is a hectic area but we wouldn't know where else to go to do our business. It’s where the heart of the flower trade is. We just keep doing what we've always done, which is supplying flowers to the people who need them for their shops or homes. It is simple, hard work and we just take it one day at a time.
