Arpana Tution Centre

Arpana Tution Centre is tucked away in Basappa Layout in HBR Layout. Specifically, we are at No.223 in the 5th Block. We are near Titan Garage, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone new. It is a bit of a residential spot, which is nice because it’s not as chaotic as the main commercial streets. We have a simple setup here. It is just a couple of rooms where we hold our sessions. Most of the kids who come to us are from the surrounding houses. They just walk over after their school finishes. The atmosphere is pretty informal. We don't wear uniforms or have a big corporate policy. We just focus on the textbooks and making sure the students are actually doing their work. Sometimes the noise from the garage nearby can be a bit much when they are working on a loud car, but we just close the windows. The building is a regular house that we have converted for this purpose. It has a bit of a homey feel to it. We don’t have a big staff, so we end up doing a lot of the administrative work ourselves. It’s hard work, but we have been doing it for a long time. We know the families in the layout and they know us. We just provide a space for students to sit down and focus on their lessons without too many distractions.
