If you look for 38/9 on Meanee Avenue Road in Ulsoor, you will find us. Aroma Touch Beauty Salon is just a small place we’ve run for a while. Ulsoor is an old part of town and we like it that way. The building is a bit older, so we have to keep up with repairs now and then. Inside, we have set up everything for hair and beauty work. It is mostly just the two or three of us working here. We start the day by boiling water and getting the supplies ready. The road outside can get a bit congested during the rush hour, but it’s usually calm enough in the afternoons. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just tell people where we are and what we do. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it. The walls are painted a simple color and we have some pictures of different hairstyles pinned up. We talk to the customers about their families and the local gossip while we work. It’s a very practical kind of life. We make sure the floor is swept after every cut. Sometimes the door sticks a little if it’s raining, but we know how to handle it. It’s a decent place to spend the day.
