Annapoorna Spices

You can find us at 1154/254 on the 1st Cross in Singapura Layout. We are right in the Singapura Village area, which is part of Varadharaja Nagar. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but it is a good spot for a spice business. We deal with all sorts of whole and ground spices. The air inside the shop always smells like cumin and turmeric. We spend a lot of time weighing out portions and putting them into smaller packets. It is mostly local families who come by to get their supplies for the month. We don't have a big sign or anything like that, just the address on the door. The space is mostly taken up by big sacks and weighing scales. Sometimes we have to move things around to make a path for the customers. It is just a regular house-turned-shop setup. We try to keep things clean, but with spices, there is always a bit of powder on the counters. My brother and I manage the daily work. We don't really bother with advertising. People just find us by word of mouth or if they live nearby in the layout. It is a steady life. We start early and close up when it gets dark. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here. We just sit here and wait for the neighbors to stop by when they run out of chili and turmeric.
