About Amulya Rice Mill – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
Hanumantha Nagar is a nice area but the 3rd Cross can get pretty crowded. At Amulya Rice Mill, the sound of the machines is something you get used to after a while. We spend the whole day around grains and big sacks. It gets dusty, so we keep the doors open when we can. Our spot at 176/21 has been here for a good bit. We see the same faces every morning when the tea stall opens nearby. Working with rice is a lot of lifting and moving things around. Some days the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves. It isn’t always clean or organized, but the work gets done eventually. My brother usually handles the deliveries while I stay here to watch the mill. We don’t really do any big advertising because people just know where we are. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, but we try to finish up early. Life here is mostly about the rhythm of the seasons. When the harvest comes in, we are working late into the night. It is just how it goes. There is always a lot to sweep up at the end of the day. We are just a local mill trying to keep the lights on and the grain moving. It’s not a fancy business, just a lot of hard work in Hanumantha Nagar. We stay until the last bag is filled and ready.
