Amit Capacitors Ltd is squeezed into Chickpet, specifically in the 1 and 2 sections. If you have ever been to Chickpet, you know how narrow the lanes are and how crowded it gets with shoppers and porters. Our shop is quite small, but we try to make use of every inch of space from the floor to the rafters. Boxes of capacitors are stacked everywhere, and we have to be careful not to trip over them when we move around. It is a fast-paced area, so there is always someone knocking on the door or shouting from the street to see if we have a specific item in stock. We do not have a corporate headquarters with glass walls. We just have a small counter where we handle the cash and write out the receipts by hand. The air can get quite stuffy in the middle of the day because the buildings are so close together, but we have a couple of old fans that keep things moving. We have been here for a while, so we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, though it never gets any less busy. We do not do any promotional events or big sales. Our business comes from the fact that we are right here in the middle of the market where everyone else is. It is a bit chaotic and loud, but that is just the way Chickpet is, and we have gotten used to the daily grind and the constant bustle.
