Amaravathy Traders

Amaravathy Traders is based at 2 Banaswadi in the Narayan Industrial Estate. It’s a pretty standard trading setup. We have a warehouse space where we keep our stock and a small area in the front for people to come in and talk to us. We’ve been in Banaswadi for quite a few years now and have seen the industrial estate change quite a bit. We trade in various goods, mostly things that other businesses in the area need. Our day starts early, checking what came in and what needs to go out. The warehouse can get a bit cluttered when a big shipment arrives, and we spend a lot of time just moving boxes around to make space. We don't have any fancy displays or marketing materials. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for years who just give us a call or drop by when they are short on something. The building itself is nothing special, just brick and mortar with a big rolling door. We have a small desk with a computer that’s a bit slow, and a bunch of files that we probably should have digitalized by now. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We aren't trying to be the biggest traders in the city. We just want to keep things moving and make sure our regulars are looked after. It’s a steady rhythm and we like it that way.
