Akshay Ayurvedic Clinic

Our clinic is tucked away on the first floor of the Chandra Reddy Building, right on Marathahalli C T Street. It’s the second building on the street, and if you are familiar with the Marathahalli area, you know how busy it can get around here. We have been in this spot for some time, and it has a very lived-in feel. The shelves are packed with different Ayurvedic herbs and oils in various containers. There is always a faint smell of sandalwood or some other roots in the air. We have a small area where the doctor talks to people and another space for the treatments. It’s not a very modern-looking place; we prefer the wooden furniture and the old-style cupboards we’ve always used. People climb the stairs to the first floor and usually wait a bit in the hallway if the chairs inside are full. We get people from all over the city, but many are just locals who prefer the traditional way of doing things. The building itself is older, and you can tell by the way the windows are set. We keep a lot of our records in handwritten books because that’s how we’ve always done it. It’s a very personal way to work. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people shouting, but once you step inside the Chandra Reddy Building and come up to our floor, it feels a lot different.
