Ajay Enterprises

Ajay Enterprises is tucked away inside the Haji S Mohammed Ismail Industrial Estate in Okalipuram. Our address is 13/9 and it’s a pretty busy area with a lot of small units doing all sorts of work. You can hear the sound of machines and metal clanging from early morning until late evening. The estate has its own smell, a mix of oil, metal, and old buildings. We spend our time managing whatever comes through the door. The space isn’t huge, so we have to be careful about where we put things. We have a couple of desks and some shelving units that have seen better days. It gets a bit dark inside during the monsoon because the clouds hang low over the industrial sheds. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we often share news over the low walls. There’s a lot of paperwork to deal with, and it seems like the piles never really get smaller. We just stay focused on the tasks at hand. Okalipuram isn’t the easiest place to navigate with all the narrow lanes and the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We don't spend much on decorations because it’s a place for work, not for showing off. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. The Haji S Mohammed Ismail Industrial Estate is an old place with a lot of history in its walls. We try to keep our corner as organized as possible.
