My office is at G1 in the Mahalakshmi Sneha Residency. It’s in the Cantonment Area, right near Fulwala Chowk. Finding the place is usually easy because the chowk is such a busy landmark. The building is a bit older, and the paint is peeling in a few spots on the outside. Inside, it’s just a plain room where I handle my daily business. I have a big desk and a couple of filing cabinets that are starting to rust at the bottom. I’ve been working from this spot for quite a long time. There is a small window that lets in some light, but it mostly looks out at the parking area. The sounds of the market near the chowk are always there in the background. You hear the flower sellers and the rickshaws all day long. I usually make my own tea on a small electric stove in the corner. It’s a quiet life for the most part. People come by for meetings or to drop off papers. I don't have any assistants, so I do everything myself. It’s a modest way to work, but I like the independence. The residency is a decent place to be located. Sometimes I stay late to finish reading reports while the street gets quiet. It is just a simple, functional space where I can focus on my tasks.
