Our place is over on Street 38/2 in the Wadi colony. It’s a bit further down from the main gates compared to some of the other offices. Living and working in this part of Karnataka means you get used to the rhythm of the industrial site. Everything here is built for utility. We have a desk, a few chairs, and a lot of ledgers to keep track of. It isn't a place where you'd find a lot of modern art or fancy gadgets. We prefer it that way. It’s easier to focus when things are simple. The neighbors on this street are mostly other workers, so it’s pretty quiet during the shifts. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers who stop by. Sometimes the dust from the cement works gets a bit heavy, so we spend a fair amount of time cleaning the windows and desks. It’s just one of those things you deal with here. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to make sure the work is accurate and the day goes by without too many problems. If you need to find us, just look for the building with the blue door on Street 38/2. We are usually in by eight and stay until the work is finished for the evening. It’s a straightforward life. We don't have a mission statement or anything, we just show up and do what is required of us every single day.
