Abhilasha Engineering

This place, Abhilasha Engineering, is tucked away in Nayandahalli. If you know the area, you know how the 4th Cross in Pantharapalya can be. It’s a bit of a maze with all the small shops and workshops squeezed together. We are at 138 12A. The shop is full of metal bits and tools that have seen better days. It smells like oil and iron most of the time. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. I spend a lot of my time cleaning up shavings from the floor. It’s loud during the day when the work is going, and you can hardly hear yourself speak over the grinding noises. People drop by mostly because they know we're here, not because of some big advertisement. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with a TV. You just walk in and find us at the back. Sometimes the rain makes the alley outside a bit messy, so you have to watch your step. I’ve lived around here for years, so the commute isn't too bad. We just keep our heads down and finish the jobs as they come in. It’s honest work, even if our hands are always dirty by lunch. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. I think that covers how we spend our days in this little corner of the city.
