Aarush Food Plaza

Our place is right in the middle of the B S K 2nd Stage area, specifically around MJ Market. If you know Zaveri Bazar, you know how crowded it gets with all the shoppers and the people working the stalls. We are at Chandra Chowk 41/10. It’s a small space where we prepare food every day. Most of the time, the air smells like frying oil and spices because we are always busy at the stoves. My cousin and I took over this spot from an old friend who wanted to retire. We didn't change much, just gave the walls a fresh coat of paint. The morning starts early for us because we have to get all the chopping done before the first customer walks in. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we have to manage with the sunlight coming through the front door. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just open the shutters and start cooking. The market is always loud, so we have to shout a bit to hear the orders. We keep a tally on a notepad by the register. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us. We see the same delivery guys every day and the same workers from the nearby shops. It feels like we are just part of the furniture in this neighborhood now and we like it that way.
