Aanand Medicals & Generals Store

Our shop is situated at No. 3 and No. 24 on Hennur Main Road. We are right under the Lingarajapuram Flyover, which is a very busy spot in Bangalore. The noise of the traffic is something we have just grown used to over the years. We handle both medicines and general store items here. People often come in for a prescription and then realize they also need soap or some snacks. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep a lot of different things on the shelves. We have to be very organized with the medicines, making sure everything is in the right place. The general side of the store is a bit more relaxed. We have bags of pulses and bottles of oil stacked up near the back. Running a place like this means you don’t get many breaks. We are usually here from early morning until quite late at night. Sometimes the flyover construction or repairs make things a bit dusty, but we just keep cleaning and moving forward. We have a lot of regular customers from the Lingarajapuram area who have been with us since the beginning. We don’t really do any big promotions. We just try to have what people are looking for when they walk in. It’s a lot of manual work, checking expiry dates and talking to suppliers on the phone. We just take it one day at a time and keep things moving.
