Aahar & Villa Ice Cafe

Our little spot is tucked away in Chawan Sadan, right in the Gujrath Colony part of Saraf Bazaar. It’s a busy area, especially with all the shops around Kumarswamy Layout. We have some ice cream and snacks, mostly things people like when they need a break from walking the bazaar. The freezer hums a bit too loud sometimes, but it keeps everything cold. We spend a lot of time wiping down the tables because people are always coming and going. The address is 1721, which can be hard to find if you aren't looking for it. We started this because we liked the idea of a cool place in such a hot, busy market. It’s not a big restaurant, just a cafe where you can sit for a minute. My cousin helps out behind the counter most afternoons. We get a lot of students and people working in the nearby shops. Some days we run out of certain flavors, and we have to explain that to the kids who come in. We don't have a fancy menu or anything. It's just written on the board. We try to keep the floors swept, though the dust from the street always finds its way in. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people who live nearby. We like seeing the same faces every week. It makes the long hours feel a bit shorter when you know the names of the people walking through the door.
