A V V Men S Beauty Saloon is tucked away at No. 3, 1St Cross Appareddy Palya in Indiranagar. We are right next to the Anjaneya Temple, so it’s pretty easy to find if you know the landmark. The bells from the temple are something we hear all day long, which is actually quite nice. It’s a small shop, nothing too flashy. We have a few chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. Most of the guys who come in live right around the corner. We do haircuts and shaves, keeping things simple. There is usually a cricket match on the small TV in the corner if anyone is waiting. It gets pretty crowded on Sunday mornings, so we have to move fast. We don’t have an appointment system or anything like that. You just show up, sit on the bench, and wait your turn. Sometimes we talk about the local news or just keep it quiet if the customer is tired. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, so we are always sweeping. It’s a basic setup but it works for us. We’ve known some of our regulars for years now. They’ve seen us grow and we’ve seen their kids grow up too. It’s just a normal neighborhood spot where you can get a quick trim without any fuss or expensive prices.
