Down here in Belgaum, we are based in the Doddannavar Compound. You can find Touchstone Granites Pvt. Ltd. right near the Fort, just off P.B. Road. It is a bit of a specific spot because we are also near the 3rd Rail Gate on Khanapur Road. Sometimes the trains go by and everything shakes a little, but we are used to it by now. We deal with heavy granite slabs all day long. The compound is quite large so we have plenty of room for the stock. We have been in this part of Belgaum for a good stretch of time. The workers here are local guys who know how to handle the heavy lifting. It gets pretty hot in the sun when we are out in the yard moving stones around. P.B. Road is always busy, so there is a lot of traffic passing by our gate. We just keep to our work and manage the granite business as best as we can. Our address at 738/1 is where all the activity happens. People in the district know us because we have been near the fort for years. It is not a polished office, just a working granite yard with lots of grey and black slabs everywhere. We spend the morning loading trucks and the afternoons organizing the inventory. It is just a normal day for us here in Belgaum. There is usually some noise from the saws cutting through the stone. We just keep our heads down and get the job done.
