Our place is located at Plot No. 60 and 72 in the Industrial Estate on Gokul Road. We are right by the 2nd Gate. Hubli is a busy place for industry, and Gokul Road is usually packed with vehicles. We handle steel supplies. The warehouse is big and filled with various rods and beams. It stays quite cool inside because of the high ceilings, which is a relief. We don't really have a sales pitch. People just come in with their requirements and we see what we have in the stacks. Sometimes the cranes are busy so you have to wait a bit. We’ve been part of this industrial estate for a long time. You get to know the other business owners around the 2nd gate. We have tea at the same stall most mornings. The work involves a lot of counting and checking sizes. It can be repetitive, but it’s what we do. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s a working warehouse through and through. The floor is concrete and there’s always a bit of iron dust around. We just focus on getting the trucks loaded so they can get back on the road. It’s a simple way to make a living. No need for anything fancy when you’re dealing with steel. We close up around six most days and head home. The streetlights on Gokul Road don't always work, but we know the way out.
