Crackers And Oil-General

You can find us at shop number 927 on Market Street. This is right in the Camp area of Belgaum on Azam Road. It is a very old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow and packed with shops. We sell a mix of things, mostly cooking oil and different kinds of crackers. During the festival season, it gets incredibly busy and the shop is full of boxes stacked up to the ceiling. The rest of the year we just deal with the regular oil sales for the local kitchens. The building is quite old and has high ceilings which helps keep it cool when the sun is out. We have heavy metal shutters that we pull up every morning. The smell of oil is always there in the air inside the shop. We have been here on Market Street for many years and have seen the shops around us change hands many times. We still have the same old wooden counter where we weigh things out and take the cash. Belgaum weather is usually nice but the market gets very dusty. I spend a lot of time organizing the tins and making sure the cracker boxes are dry. We do not do any fancy displays or anything. People just know we are here and they come when they need their supplies. It is a simple business and we like being part of this old market community. We try to keep everything honest and straightforward for our customers.
