Sikander Singh

I run things under my own name, Sikander Singh, and I am based here in Bhatinda. I don't really have a big office with a sign out front like some of the other agencies in town. A lot of my work happens over the phone or while I am out meeting people on the street. I’ve lived in this city my whole life, so I know a lot of folks who need help with their travel plans. It might be a family going to a wedding or someone needing to get to the airport in a real hurry. I handle everything myself, from taking the first call to making sure the car shows up on time. It is a lot of work for one person, and my phone is always buzzing in my pocket. I don't have a corporate strategy. I just try to be honest with people about what I can do. If a car is not available, I’ll tell you so you aren't waiting around. I keep my records in a small notebook that I carry everywhere. It’s a bit messy, but I know where every entry is. Some days are very long, starting before the sun is up and finishing late at night. I don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. My business comes from people telling their neighbors that I did a decent job for them. It’s a simple, personal way to work and I plan to keep it that way for the future.
