Universal Associates is right here at 131, Probodh Mitra Lane. If you know the Nimta Kali Bari area, we are quite close to that. It’s a busy little spot in Kolkata. We’ve been operating from this address for a while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and a lot of files piled up. Most days, it’s just us sitting here working through whatever comes our way. The landmark that helps people find us is the Ubi nearby, which is handy since the lane can get a bit crowded sometimes. We aren't a big corporation with glass walls. It's more like a local place where we know the people around us. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets noisy with the traffic and the local market sounds, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We handle a lot of paperwork and talk to folks who drop in from the neighborhood. It is a simple setup with old wooden chairs and a ceiling fan that hums all day. We keep things moving, even when the humidity is high and the tea gets cold on the desk. You will find us here from morning until the evening. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just sort of find their way to our door on Probodh Mitra Lane when they need something sorted out. It’s a practical space for real work and we try to get things done right without making any big promises.
