At Kaushalya Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, we’re mostly focused on the work right in front of us. Our office is situated near the 4No Railway Gate, which is pretty close to Lalkothi in the North Basudebpur area of Belgharia. If you’ve ever been to this part of Kolkata 700056, you know it gets pretty loud with the trains passing by all day. It’s just a normal workplace where people show up, do their jobs, and head home. We handle a lot of the logistical stuff and planning for different building projects around here. Some of us have been working in this office for years, so we’ve grown used to the noise and the way the morning traffic backs up near the gate. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It’s a practical space filled with old desks, a few computers that have seen better days, and a lot of maps of the local area. Usually, the day starts with someone making a round of tea while we talk about what needs to happen at the site. We deal with vendors, government folks, and the occasional neighbor who stops by to ask a question. It’s not a glamorous life, but infrastructure is important for the city, and we take that part seriously even if we’re just a bunch of regular people working in a crowded room. We just keep plugging away at it every single day, trying to make sure our projects are on track.
