Bhatpara Saloon

Bhatpara Saloon is located on West G P Road in North 24 Parganas. It’s an old-fashioned kind of place, really. We have those heavy barber chairs that have been here for years and a big mirror that covers most of the wall. The area around Bhatpara is usually busy, so there is always a lot of noise from the road coming through the front door. We keep it simple here. A haircut, a shave, maybe a head massage if someone has the time. We use the same kind of razors and brushes that have worked for a long time. There is a small television in the corner, but it doesn't always have the best picture, so we usually just listen to the radio or talk to whoever is in the chair. The walls have a few old posters on them that have faded over the years. We get a mix of people, from young boys getting their first cut to the older men who have been coming here since they were kids. It’s a place where you can just sit down and relax for twenty minutes while we do the work. We aren't trying to be fancy or modern. We just want to provide a decent service for the people living nearby on West G P Road. The floor is a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it’s a comfortable spot for us and our customers. We hope to keep the shop running like this for as long as we can.
