Uma Dei Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Village Bahadur Ganj, near Richha. We are at Jagan’s place. The pin code is 243201. It is a very humble setup. We don’t have a big storefront or anything that looks like a corporate office. It is just a room where we keep our registers and meet with the local farmers. Bahadur Ganj is a small village where everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We started this company to help the growers around Richha get their supplies together. It is a lot of back-and-forth work. One day we are checking on the wheat and the next it is something else. We don’t use any polished language because that’s not who we are. We are just folks from the village. Jagan is usually around to help with the entries in the books. We try to be fair and just get through the season without too many problems. The village life is good but it’s constant work. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a list of names. People come in, have some water, and we talk about what needs to be done. It’s a very practical way to spend the day. We are just here doing our bit for the local farms. It’s not much, but it’s our life and we stick to it.
