Daulatpur Jowar Producer Company Limited

We are located in Daulatpurwa, which is in the Banda district. The office is at Kallo Prasad Yadav’s place. As the name suggests, we focus a lot on jowar, which is a staple crop around here. Banda can be quite dry, so jowar is a good thing for us to grow since it handles the heat well. We are a producer company, so it’s really just a bunch of local farmers working together. We try to pool our harvest so we can sell it in bigger lots. Kallo Prasad handles a lot of the coordination from his home. It’s not a formal business setting like you’d see in a big city. We wear our regular clothes and meet up whenever there’s a need to settle accounts or plan the next sowing. The roads in Daulatpurwa are okay, but it gets very hot in the summer months. We spend a lot of time talking about the water situation and how the crops are holding up. It’s a simple life and the business is just an extension of that. We don't have a website or a big marketing budget. We just have our names and our reputation in the village. If you need to find us, just ask for the jowar group at Kallo Prasad’s house. We are usually around during the day, unless it’s harvest time and everyone is out in the fields.
