Wardan Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Nayagaon in Bareli. Specifically, we're at the home of Lalsingh, who is Narmadaprasad Choudhary’s son. It’s a real rural setup, which is exactly how we like it. We’re right there in the middle of the village post area. Around here, everyone knows everyone else’s business, especially when it comes to the harvest. We decided to form this company because the individual farmers were having a hard time getting a good price or finding the right supplies. Now, we pull our resources together. It’s not always easy to get everyone on the same page, but we manage. You’ll find us at the village post most days, checking on deliveries or talking to the members. We don't have any polished office staff. It’s just us. We use simple English and talk about practical things like the depth of the wells or the cost of diesel. Life in Nayagaon is tied to the seasons. When it’s planting time, everyone is busy, and when it’s harvest time, it’s even busier. The company is just a tool to help us navigate all that. We don't use big words or make fancy brochures. We just write things down in our notebooks and try to keep things moving forward. It’s a basic operation, run by local people for local people. That’s really all there is to it. No more, no less.
