Shakir Hair Style is located right in the middle of Meerganj in Bareilly. It is a small place but we keep it busy enough. Most days start with opening the shutters and getting the towels ready. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. Just a local spot where men come to get a shave or a haircut. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. People around here know where we are. You don't need a map to find us in Meerganj. We don't have fancy lights or leather sofas, just honest work. If you come on a Sunday, you might have to wait. That’s usually our busiest time. Sometimes the chai guy comes by and we take a quick break. It is mostly just about keeping the regulars happy. We use standard tools, nothing too high-tech. The floor gets covered in hair quickly so we are always sweeping. It’s a bit noisy with the street sounds coming in, but that’s just Bareilly for you. We don't talk much unless the customer wants to.
