We are just a group of local farmers who thought we should work together instead of struggling separately. It’s not a big corporate thing. It’s just us. We meet up when we can to talk about what crops we are planting and how we can get a better price at the mandi. Sometimes we argue about it, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with real life and money. The village is quiet, and most people are busy in their fields from sunrise. We don't have any mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food we grow is good and that we can afford to keep our tractors running. It’s a lot of physical labor. You get used to the dirt under your fingernails. If you come by Behta Buzurg, you won't see a big office. You'll just see Israr’s house and some people talking about the harvest. We try to keep things honest and simple. There isn't any secret to what we do. It’s just farming and trying to stay ahead of the bills and the seasons. It's a tough job but we take pride in doing it together.
