Dhanmantri Nigohi Farmer Producer Company Limited is out in Hamajpur village, which is part of the Nigohi area in Shahjahanpur. Our group is centered around Sher Singh’s place in the Tilhar tehsil. We are a collection of local growers who realized that we could get more done if we stopped working in isolation. The name Dhanmantri is something we take pride in, but we are still just regular people from Hamajpur. Shahjahanpur is a place where farming is the main thing everyone does. We don't have a fancy office with a secretary or anything like that. If you call or visit, you are talking to someone who likely just came in from the sun and has dirt on their hands. We handle our own paperwork and our own hauling. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure everyone gets their fair share and the work gets done on time. We talk a lot about the dirt, the pests, and the pumps. It’s a practical life without many frills. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished reports.
