Our group is based at Jagan Nath Mall in Rampur. If you know the Belawardubawar area, you know it isn't a fancy shopping mall like the ones in the big towns. It is just a local spot where people get together. Baitalpur Farmer Producer Company Limited is what we use for our official work. We spend a lot of time there dealing with the local farmers who come in from the surrounding fields. Usually, we are busy checking the weight of things or making sure the bags are stacked correctly. Rampur is a good place to be because everyone passes through here eventually. We have been working around Baitalpur for a long time, so we know how the soil behaves and what grows best. It is hard work, especially when the sun is high and there is no breeze. We don’t have any fancy equipment in the office, just the basics to keep our records straight. Most of the time, the talk is about the price of seeds or the lack of rain. We try to keep things simple. We are just a bunch of neighbors trying to coordinate the selling of our crops so nobody gets left behind. It is a practical way to live. If you come by the mall, you will likely see us sitting outside or moving crates around. We are just regular people doing the same work our fathers did.
