Kedia Co

Our office for Kedia Co is right near the Kali Mandir in Durgapur, so we get to hear the bells every single morning. It’s a nice way to start the day, even if the West Bengal humidity is already hitting you by 9 AM. The area around Dn En is pretty busy with people going to the temple or the local shops. We’ve got a small space here, and the floor is that old-fashioned green stone that stays cool even when it's boiling outside. I usually spend the first hour just sorting through the mail and making sure the computers are actually working. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit there and talk until it comes back on. It’s a bit slow-paced, which suits us just fine. The address is easy to find because of the landmark, so we get people dropping in just to ask for directions sometimes. We don't mind. We have a couple of plastic chairs for visitors, but they’re mostly covered in folders. The walls have some old photos of the family and a calendar from three years ago that nobody ever took down. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood. We don’t do things in a rush here. We take our time, have our chai, and make sure the work gets finished before the sun goes down and the temple gets crowded again.
