Coal India

This is the Coal India office located at C 6 30 in the Jhanjra Officers Colony. We are out here in the Burdwan district of West Bengal. To get here, you usually come via Ukhra and look for the P O Jhanjra area. Our pin code is 713363. This is where a lot of the administrative stuff happens for our section of the company. It’s a typical colony office, surrounded by houses and other staff buildings. We have a few rooms filled with desks and old filing cabinets that have been here for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up fine. We spend our days tracking shipments, looking at schedules, and making sure the paperwork for the coal operations is in order. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s important for keeping everything moving. We don't have any fancy meeting rooms with projectors. If we need to talk, we just pull up a chair around someone’s desk and figure it out. The colony is quiet during the day while everyone is working. We usually bring our own lunch and eat together in the small break area. It is a very practical, no-frills environment. We are just regular people doing a job that involves a lot of logistics and staying on top of the daily numbers from the field. That is how we keep the local branch running steadily.
