Our branch is located out in Tikarhat, right by Hazidanga in the Burdwan district. Being in a place like this means we see a lot of local life happening right outside our windows every day. People in this part of West Bengal are hardworking, and they expect their bank to be straightforward too. We mostly deal with small accounts and people saving up for their kids' education or maybe a new piece of farm equipment. It is a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from filing papers to helping someone fill out a form because they forgot their reading glasses. The building is simple, and we like it that way because it feels more like home. We don't have those polished marble floors you see in the big cities, just a functional space where we can sit down and talk to the people from Lakurdi and nearby villages. Every morning we get the systems running and wait for the morning rush to settle down. It can get dusty during the summer months, but we keep the fans going and keep on working. Banking isn't always exciting, but it is important for the families around here to have a place they can go with their earnings.
