Millenium Saloon

We are located on the ground floor over at Atghara Main Road. It’s a decent spot, especially being so close to the Calcutta Nursing Home. People often stop by Millenium Saloon when they are in the area for other errands. The shop has been here for a bit now in the 700136 part of Kolkata. It’s not a large space, but it’s got high ceilings so it doesn't feel too cramped when there are three or four people waiting. We have a few old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones these days. The floor is tiled and easy to clean, which is good because we get a lot of foot traffic from the main road. Sometimes the ambulances go by with their sirens, but you get used to that sound after a week. We keep the mirrors polished as best we can. It’s just a straightforward place where men from around Atghara come to sit for a bit. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of strong ceiling fans that keep the air moving. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets really busy. We know most of the shopkeepers nearby, so there’s always someone popping their head in to say hello. It feels like a proper part of the community here. Nothing fancy, just the basics done right. We usually keep the door open to let in a bit of breeze during the afternoons.
